Massenet is my revival, completely redrawn, of Old Style Grotesque Condensed which I found in Specimens of Printing Type (Miller & Richard, Edinburgh, c. 1920). The book appears to be in the public domain. Massenet is a sans serif font that sports a nice combination of thick and thin strokes. I expanded the single font to three weights, SemiBold, Bold and ExtraBold. I believe it will enhance your designs best if used in posters, advertisements, “vintage modern” (what a great oxymoron!) and card design.
Several dozen discretionary ligatures are available.
I named Massenet after the 19th century French composer of operas and splashy orchestral music, Jules Massenet (1842-1912).
